                                                                                                   MEET THE COMMUNITY

A special and a unique programme ‘Meet the Community’ was organised for the students by the Department of English at SBIOA Model MHSS, Mogappair on 29th July,2017. Mrs. Shanthi, Conservancy Staff from Mogappair Ward was invited to address the students. The speakers represented their community and shared their way of life. An interactive session that followed helped the students to understand their difficulties and created awareness in them to keep their surroundings clean. The purpose of this programme is to strengthen the students’ social connections. The session developed a sense of belonging to the place and community they live in and made them learn about the nature of job of the speakers and also respect them.
